Is there any way to know if the real estate company is increasing the rent following certain percentage decided from the municipality? If so can we as tenants ask for this paper or can we call the municipality and ask them if the increase is legal?
Answer:
Dubai Land Department is a government body for regulating the rental costs all over the UAE. Any rental increase is subject to the RERA calculator, which could be found at http://www.dubailand.gov.ae/. Please check the website for further information.
