If a Husband doesn’t want to stay with his Wife, and he wants a divorce because there is no understanding between them. Can the Husband apply for a divorce?
Answer:
In order to seek a divorce, the party applying for the divorce must have some legal grounds to request the court to grant a divorce. Lack of physical relationship or intimacy is one of the grounds for divorce.
Your friend can initiate an application before the Dubai courts on the basis of lack of intimacy and sexual relations. However, before the Divorce decree is granted by the judge the parties will be requested to mediate their issues before the Family Committee.
Concerns such as lack of love, intimacy, and physical attraction are generally one of the factors discussed during the mediation meeting. Once the committee has issued a no-objection letter, parties may proceed with their Divorce application before the courts.
