Can expat unmarried woman deliver a baby in Dubai?
Answer:
In light of the latest law reforms announced by the federal government of the UAE on November 7,2020, A cohabitation of the unmarried couple is no longer punishable. Since these are the very latest amendments effected, it is too preliminary for us to clarify further until the publication of the federal decree in the official gazette.

The above information might not apply if both parties are non-muslim. Starting from the 1st of February 2023, UAE issued specific family law to be applied between non-muslim expat residents in case none of them wanted to apply his/her home country’s law in the UAE.
