After a Divorce, is it Possible to File a Criminal Case?

Am an Indian Muslim and I applied for divorce in Dubai court due to a Family issue. My wife approach Indian consulate and they advised her to file a criminal case after divorce.

My question is after divorce is it possible to file a criminal case?
